Pay for people who sign in

An enabled internal user is a billable seat. Administrators are internal users, not a separate billing category.

Do not pay for recipients

External file recipients and e-sign parties do not consume internal seats.

Capacity grows with the team

Storage and monthly e-sign allowance increase with paid seats, subject to the published plan minimums.

FAQ

Pricing questions

What counts as a billable seat?

An enabled internal user who can sign in to a Casewelt tenant counts as a billable seat. An administrator is still one internal seat; admin access is not purchased separately.

Do external recipients or signers consume seats?

No. External file recipients and e-sign parties do not consume internal seats. E-signature envelope allowances still apply according to your plan.

Why is there a 5-seat minimum?

Core and Business have a five-seat billing minimum so each tenant starts with a workable baseline of shared capacity and support. Teams with fewer than five internal users can still use the service, but billing is based on five seats.

Are prices billed monthly?

The prices shown are monthly equivalents for annual contracts and exclude VAT. Monthly terms may be available by agreement.

Does storage belong to individual users?

No. The per-seat figure is used to calculate the tenant’s shared storage allowance. For example, 10 Core seats provide 500 GB of shared storage.

If we set a seven-year retention rule, does Casewelt keep the file for free after we cancel?

No. A retention period such as “contract term + 7 years” is your organisation’s obligation for that record. While you have an active Casewelt subscription, the product enforces the rule you defined — including refusing early deletion. Ending the subscription does not transfer the remaining years onto Casewelt as a free-hosting commitment; you remain responsible for records you still need to keep.

What happens when we add users?

Your billable seat quantity and plan capacity increase according to the plan rules. Your plan level does not change automatically when your team grows.

Can a small organisation use Business?

Yes. Plan level is based on the controls your organisation needs, not its size. A five-person team can use Business if it needs Business-level governance or integration features.

What is included with Enterprise?

Enterprise contracts are tailored for organisations that need higher-assurance identity, integration, deployment, capacity or support requirements. Available controls and service terms are confirmed during the technical and commercial review.
